Why teaching is the best profession?
Posted On 2019-02-07

Teaching is considered a noble profession among all the professions for they process to impart knowledge and information to those who need instruction and guidance. Some consider teaching as a duty rather than saying it as a profession and that’s why teaching is said to be noble in the first place. There’s a saying that teachers prepare the next generation of skilled professionals and workers like engineers, doctors, politicians, policemen, educators, legislators and good citizens. An important thing about the teaching profession is that not only the students learn from the teachers but also the teachers learn the lessons of life from the innocent students. Aristotle rightly said, “Those who educate the children are more to be honored than they who produce them; for these only gave them life, those the art of living well.” Teachers provide vital guidance and transmit knowledge to children, adolescents and also to young adults. Other than providing guidance and instructions, teachers implement various national education goals and also promote the realization of fundamental human rights to the growing children and adolescents. Teachers need more resources and materials as a key mechanism to assist and support students learning so that they can be more active which directly benefits the students. Moreover, it is vital that even teachers must continue to learn and improve themselves to keep up with the developing and improving world. Teachers should be supported accordingly through greater community and parental involvement for the students to excel themselves and face the greater world. Parents should also monitor, guide and support children at home while being in regular communication with the teachers. Teachers alone are not responsible for the success and progress of the children and students, but the result of collaborative approach involving the close coordination of family, friends, society, community, teachers and the educational institutions.
